Earth our eternal home is under threat. There have been several grievous issues clouding our Earth. It is believed that soon Earth wont be a suitable place for living creatures. Life on Earth is under grave threat. Following these issues there have been a whole lot of initiatives to curb the pollution and other dreadful factors that exploit and deteriorate the environment. Despite all such kind efforts, there has been no substantial change in our Environments pollution level.Pollution levels are rapidly shooting up, water is getting precious day by day and the climatic conditions are undergoing emphatic changes. These are the results of our nonchalance towards our Mother Nature. People all our the world seem to have forgotten that Nature is our global haven. The world is avariciously exploiting the natural resources thereby resulting in the extinction of innumerable resources. If the current scenario persists, then no doubt Earth will be a barren, and pernicious place, with no speck of life.
Taking the environmental conditions in account, last year Australia had introduced a revolutionary idea which aimed at having all power sources turned off for one whole hour. The idea was a great sizzler. The message conveyed was that through the joint effort of people towards conserving resources, the pollution and the climatic anomalies can be curbed.
This year theconcept marched several steps ahead and "Earth Hour" was celebrated on a world wide basis on 28th March. This is a global election to save Earth and each effort to switch off the lights will be a vote to save the Earth. Three cheers for such green efforts. Its only through such collaborative efforts that human beings can ensure a green safe earth. So there is no issue in having little darkness today, when it can lead to a brighter, greener tomorrow.
