The Apple Iphone with all its alluring and amiable features has already made its mark in the Technology quad. The Iphone has not yet been legally brought into the Indian markets. Still a whole lot of Indian tech savvy populace have already started using Iphone in full swing. These are the Iphones that they got from outlets abroad. The phones had been intelligently locked by Apple to prevent its usage in domains other than the ones for which it was intended. However the hardcore programmers in the country managed to break open the locked iphone and made it usable in India. All those were in good times with their Iphones until the fresh news of an improved version of the Iphone came up. Yes! The Iphone has a melioration now. This all new Iphone is to be released shortly in th US. Guess what, this Iphone is a massive make over of the existing one. It allows for web surfing over extremely fast 3G cellular networks, enables easy enterprise management, provides maps with GPS and above all, it lets the user download a wide range of applications that serve all purposes that you had been dreaming for our phone. You name the feature and you will find it in the new Iphone. The Apple inc has wisely articulated it as "Twice as fast. Half the price." However amidst all these hype and drooling over the new Iphone, the Indian populace has not shown any excitement but is just seeing dashing hopes. It is because the new Iphone is based on 3G technology, A technology of which the Indians have been dreaming for a long time. The disputes over the spectrum allocation to the existing service providers has digressed the efforts required for introducing 3G in India. Adding to all these is the rumor that the government has interests in letting foreign providers bid for the existing spectrum. So to sum up, the 3G technology is still a dream for Indian telecoms industry. Thereby the Indian populace is left with no other choice, but to simply envy the new Iphone.
